| I was wondering wether it would be possible for the breed (or suspected breed) of the dog which is placed in the Rescue forums to have the breed put next to the name in the title to aid those looking to adopt. e.g. Instead of having "Bouley" you'd have "Bouley - Bullmastiff" or "Bouley - Bullmastiff X Rottweiller" etc |

| I think this is a great idea.. and someone could even lock the threads so they know who's left over and who's been rehomed?? Or i suppose you could just look on the web page. |

| The forum is quite informal, like friends chatting really & it is a case of a quick write up & pic being posted as & when a dog comes in, just so that our members know what is happening as the more detailed write up goes on the website. For my part I would hate for any dog to be over looked because he/she is not the right breed & of course there is always the fact that many people come looking for a certain breed but fall for another. It is so much a case of the right dog finding the right family & vice versa..........Not always what was intended but the perfect match is not always breed specific. That's my two pence worth but I'm always willing to change if everyone else disagrees _________________

| All our dogs are spayed vac'd and microchipped If I post a dog they are in Kent When we first put them on the forum we have not always assessed them but we like our members on here to know what we have in as soon as we have them, the information grows as we get to know the dog better so we update the thread then We do not take what the people handing the dogs into us as gospel we like to get to know the dogs ourselves as for Bouley he is a Cane Corso, not ready for a home yet |

Thanks.
I was just using Bouley as an example. But, I think I've proved my point (with your help) as I didn't know what breed bouley is as it doesn't say it anywhere in the forum nor on the website (he isn't even listed). |

| Bouley is very much shall we say a work in progress, he is not ready to re-home so not on the web, you may notice that Tayo and Turkish are not on there either, they have work that needs to be done with them, so no point them going on an open site, Most of the dogs need work in one way or another but some more than other's and we do not re-home them until we think they are ready and full assesments have been done and passed But we like our forum members and helpers to know what dogs we have and what work is being done |

| @ Sharon I think we have a great web site sorry if it's not enough for you But we the team work so hard with assessing treating and training the dogs that we dont have alot of time to do every thing that MIGHT be a little better for people to read and to be honest i dont really care I have run this rescue for years and (can i blow my own trumpet)do very well and we have a very good record of rehoming. Others dont seem to have a problem with the breeds.. Oh i have had enough of this i have more serious things to do .. _________________ Founder & Rescue Co-Ordinator |

| I personally don`t need to know the breed (or suspected breed)of a dog to know that I could love it and give it a good home. I have complete and utter confidence in the way the rescue is run and I`m sure if any changes were needed to increase the dogs chances of being homed then they would be done. |

| I quite agree WOAH! I for one do want comments & suggestions & really appreciate any thoughts that people have to share. So I apologise if anyone has been offended or taken anything in the wrong way & please keep your thoughts coming. I did at one time intend to lock any threads for dogs that have been rehomed but we sometimes get updates & piccies of them in their new homes so that idea didn't work out. It really is a case of the forum being for members to be kept updated & the rehoming facts such as which dogs are looking/reserved/rehomed are on the website. Again I have to aplologise if the dogs details are not up to scratch on the site as this is normally my job but as I have been unwell lately it has been a bit of a struggle to keep things up to standard at times Now please lets keep this nice, share our comments & apreciate someone taking the time to post their thoughts on helping our little rescue & ultimately helping the dogs in our care. So sorry for this Animal Mother & please keep posting your suggestions even if we don't all agree I want more suggestions & thoughts _________________

| Thanks Vexy for being so frank, and thanks for the apology. I can see why people may get annoyed, thinking I've just come on here, shouting the odds etc. Well, I AM new here, but I think that I therefore have a fresh view on things. So let's all make not before Sorry, had to do that, those smilies are mental! |
